Our Story

Real support.

Real understanding.

Real change.

At The ADHD Empowerment Space, our mission is simple: To provide accessible, ethical, and transparent ADHD coaching to those who need it. We believe in empowering individuals with ADHD to thrive, not just cope, both personally and professionally.

This is the space we wish had existed for us.

Each of our coaches is formally trained, deeply experienced, and neurodivergent themselves.

We understand the impact that having ADHD has on lives. Especially as late diagnosed Neurodivergent (ND) people, and often combined with other ND conditions as ADHD is rarely a solo traveller!

We’ve all experienced feeling different, like we don’t fit or are getting life “wrong” and these personal journeys through self- understanding, to ADHD and AuDHD realisation and diagnoses, alongside our coaching training.

Our coaching isn’t just strategy and frameworks (although we’ve got plenty of those).

It’s compassionate, grounded, and human.

We combine:

  • Solid coaching skills rooted in evidence-based training
  • Lived experience of ADHD, Autism alongside ADHD, and other Neurotypes because it’s rare that ADHD is in isolation
  • Psychology informed practices, neuroscience and positive psychology with coaching
  • Education and practical tools delivered in ADHD-friendly ways

This means we can hold a transformational space that helps you move from self-doubt to self-trust and start taking action in a way that works with your brain

Our Approach:

Not Your Average ADHD Coaching

Our whole coaching approach is different because we REALLY get it, on a deep human level, not just from a practical coaching point of view. You are not your neurodivergence, you’re a complete person and this is just part of you.

  • We know what it’s like to feel stuck and know that right now you just “can’t” do the thing.
  • We know what it’s like to be frustrated and know you’re capable of so much more if you could just get started.
  • We know what it’s like to feel completely overwhelmed, on the edge of burnout, or even toppling over that cliff edge

AND we know how, how to support ourselves through all of this.Which means that we can hold a truly transformational space for you to learn to support yourself through these things too.

We don’t believe it’s all about “Executive Function”. We need to understand what in your life is impacting you (as well as your ADHD brain!) and affecting your ability to do the things you want to do.

It’s about combining ADHD education with self exploration and understanding the little ways we can tease our brain into taking action without causing us to feel like a rabbit in headlights.

This still puts you in control of the direction you choose to take, but can be game changing when it comes to coaching for our busy brains, as often there’s a missing piece of knowledge that this is a “normal brain thing” for ADHDers.

Part “pure coaching”, part intentionally guiding questions, with a sprinkle of experience led mentoring and ADHD education. This is a space for education and self-discovery.

A space where you’re supported to create lasting change, not just quick fixes.

But why did this space come to be?

The short answer, our founder Charlotte moved into the ADHD coaching space in 2022 (after first training as a coach in 2018), shortly after her own diagnosis at 36.

She quickly became fully booked with clients looking for support with their ADHD, and heard time and time again:

I’ve reached out to so many coaches but no one has come back to me

I’m just not sure they are the right person, they didn’t really seem to be listening to what I was saying I need

I’m not confortable working with people who haven’t done extensive coach training as surely that’s just like talking to a friend or collegue

I’ve reached out to so many coaches but no one has come back to me

I’m just not sure they are the right person, they didn’t really seem to be listening to what I was saying I need

I’m not confortable working with people who haven’t done extensive coach training as surely that’s just like talking to a friend or collegue

Or worse…

I’ve been working with a coach who said they are an ADHD expert but I haven’t felt I’ve learned anything and they wern’t able to help me with what I need

The coaching world felt like the Wild West with no regulation, minimal training, and lots of people calling themselves coaches without the skills to help neurodivergent clients safely or effectively.

Charlotte knew she couldn’t keep taking on more and more clients without burning out, but she also couldn’t turn people away knowing what they were up against.

So she created something new.

The Creation of The ADHD Empowerment Space

 Charlotte envisioned a space where:
  • Every enquiry is answered, and you’re not left hanging
  • You don’t have to contact multiple coaches and risk the pain of rejection
  • Every coach is highly trained and personally experienced with ADHD
  • Coaching is accessible, no matter your Access to Work award level
  • Ethics, transparency, and inclusivity aren’t optional — they’re fundamental

Charlotte was awarded a grant in 2024 from UnLtd, who support Social Entrepreneurs to make a difference, and following this, the ADHD Empowerment Space was able to become not just an idea but a reality.

Now, The ADHD Empowerment Space is home to a growing team of brilliant, neurodivergent coaches who are committed to helping you navigate ADHD with clarity, confidence, and community.

We’re ready to help you make real, positive, lasting change in your life.

Whether you’re just starting to question whether it’s ADHD, are going through the assessment process or are formally diagnosed, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

The problem with the current ADHD coaching landscape

Let’s be honest, the current ADHD coaching world can be a minefield. There are countless self-proclaimed ‘coaches’ offering advice with
no formally recognised training and/or experience of supporting neurodivergent people. There’s no regulation and vulnerable people are not getting the support they need.

Coaching is not the same as mentoring. It’s a skilled practice that involves deep listening, powerful questioning, and the ability to guide someone through lasting personal change.

We take this responsibility seriously.

Every coach in our space is:

  • Professionally trained and continually developing
  • Equipped to support ADHD and neurodivergent experiences

Committed to ethical practice and trauma-aware coaching
We are creating a space where finding the right coach to support you feels easier and less overwhelming, where you can be certain that the person you work with is well trained, experienced and dedicated to their own ongoing development to be the best coach they can for their clients.

Access to work & Fair, Flexible Support

We also believe that the Access to Work Scheme, which many of our clients are supported by, can make finding the right coach even harder, with a huge range of rates given, unfairly favouring those who are given a higher award (and pushing up prices within the industry!). For Access to Work clients, we will try to work with whatever level of award you have been granted, as we believe that excellent coaching and access to the same choice should be available to those seeking support.
